On December 10, 2019, we celebrated our 10-year Anniversary with our first ever fundraising event to commemorate a decade of grassroots change making in the city of Newark and to propel us into an exciting new growth phase. 

The Newark Chess Club exclusively serves children who attend schools and live in Newark NJ,  a city that is on the move.  For children with limited opportunities to diverse enrichment and experiential learning opportunities that power solutions-oriented thinking and build social-emotional skills, NCC steps in to fill these gaps by providing consistent access to necessary supports, including life-skills interventions and mentorship.
